Wonderful day camp! All 3 of my kids have gone here and love it.

This is the second generation of my family attending this camp. It's extremely well run, so much so when my father was the regional MH/MR Director he placed kids with them. The family that runs the camp are the best kind of people.
Despite the comment about the horses, seems to me that their stables are well-kept, if basic and when I was there the horses looked well-fed. My visits there have been pleasant, and of the many summer camps my daughter's been to over the past several years, it's her favorite. There's climbing, splashing through the creek, horseback riding, and all sorts of activities. Yes, it's "filthy" but that's only when the kids get into mud, and what kid doesn't mind a little mud? This is a real summer camp, not some sterile place designed to cater to dirt-averse yuppie parents. It's good for kids to get wet and muddy at times. The staff seem to be knowledgeable and good with kids. My daughter is now 12 and still looks forward to going each year. My daughter loves horses and climbing and outdoor activities in general and this camp suits her perfectly. But send a change of clothes with your kid (and remember to bring them back with you)!
